B&B Montechiari in Chianti, an old manor house now restored maintaning the typical, tuscan country style, is located in the heart of Tuscany countryside, between Florence and Siena.
Here, any time during the year, you can enjoy town facilities along with the relaxed lifestyle of a country home.
Bed & Breakfast Montechiari in Chianti lies only 500 metres away from the famous main square of Greve, 200 metres from the bus stop (buses from and to Florence), 200 metres from the public swimming pool, tennis and football court and 200 metres from the Tourist Bureau Office.
There's also a place for bikes and motorbikes rentals, to make easy and independent your country exploration.
You may also want to visit one of most important Chianti "enoteca" (wine bar), with holds wine books from the 18th to the first year on 20th Cenruries, and a permanent exposition of corkscrews.
Not to mention the tasting of more than 140 kind of different wines, extra-virgin olive oil, "vin santo" and assorted Tuscan salami.
From here you can quickly reach all the small villages (like Montefioralle, Badia a Passignano, Panzano, Radda, Castellina, Gaiole, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa, Cortona.....) and towns (like Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca.....) well known for their architecture and history. You can also visit all the famous Chainti Castles and Villas, and of course visit all the major Chianti Classico wine producer, their vineyard and cellars and where you may taste exquisite wine too.
The room we give our guests is spacious and well furnished in the typical tuscan style, with warm colors.
The room can accomodate up to 3 people (with an armchair which unfolds into a third bed): there's a TV (only italian channels), desk and a wardrobe, 2 armchairs, fridge, kettle, private bathroom with shower and central heating.
We provide both sheets and towels. We have also Internet Point and Wi-Fi connection on payment.
After coming back from your daily trip you may find a warm atmosphere and relax by the fireplace during the winter season, on the terrace (where we can serve breakfast too) or outside in our courtyard during the spring and summer time where you have available a nice barbecue for cooking whatever you wish. On request we are pleased to serve breakfast and dinner in the typical family tuscan style with fresh, local and homemade products.
